SodiumOne is the new event by Lockwood / Outso that hit PlayStation Home at the end of 2009.

Already alot of people have been saying that SodiumOne Sucks due to either issues with the

 server among other things.

But with mini-games like Scorpios, Scorpion Stomp and Salt Shooter, SodiumOne has become

1 of the most popular event spaces in Home, both in NA & EU.

However SodiumOne is just the beginning as Lockwood has announced that

they will be adding more content, including SodiumTwo, so well just have to wait and see.

Sodium Hub

this space can be accessed 1 of 3 ways.

      1) Portal in Central Plaza <By big screen>

      2) Central Plaza World Map

      3) PDA World Map <Location>

Salt Shooter Game Personal Space

Obtained when entering Sodium Hub for the first time.

Note: You cannot add furniture or items in this space (sucks I know)

Vickie

SodiumOne's Infomation Android (seen at the entrance of Sodium Hub).

When you aproach Vickie, you will see the following menu.

Objectives -  List of achevements you gain in SodiumOne.

Resource Trading - Trade in Resourses obtained in salt shooter to gain credit.

                                         Gold = 25

                                        Silver = 5

                                       Silicon = 1

ShopPurchace items using credit obtained after trading in resources.

Gift FriendsInvite people off your friends list to SodiumOne.

               Rewards: Economy Chair <for you>

Animated Figurine <for invited friends> (See Vickie after geting invitation)

Register / ConnectObtained a code used to register your e-mail to SodiumOne.com.

Rewards: Economy Table (See Vickie after registering)

Note: If the code is too small to make out, don't exit out.

Instead hit "Start" twice and go to your PDA.

Go to settings and adjust the screen size, but don't save the change.

Just ajust the screen to where you can clearly read the code,

write it down then hit "Circle" to go back to the default screen size.

Sodium VIP Lounge

There is No Glitch to get in to the VIP lounge. The only way to gain entry is by

purchacing the Pilots Jacket (Suit)

Note: You do not need to wear the jacket  to enter the VIP Lounge,

you just have to have it in your wardrobe inventory.

You can find the jacket in the mall or Commerce Point (Picture Below)

CommercePoint.jpg Commerce Point picture by jjdill24

You can find this either in the Sodium Hub or the Salt Shooter Game Personal Space.

The Jacket also gives you access to the full Salt Shooter game.

You'll be rewarded upgraded jackets as you progress through the game.

(List & Pictures Below)

           Original (Suit)                     1st Upgrade

                "$4.99″                       "Beat Level 10″

             2nd Upgrade                    3rd Upgrade

"Beat Level 20″               "Beat Level 30″

            4th Upgrade                       5th Upgrade

"Beat Level 40″                   "Beat Level 50″

So basically its like a "Buy 1 Get 5 Free" kinda deal.

Scorpios

A matching mini game in Sodium Hub, be either the customer and order drinks

or be the bartender and serve the customers.

Note: As of (01/21/2010) you can earn sodium credit in this mini game.

Where the bartender / waitress outfits <Commerce Point / Mall>

and serve customers to get tips.

Customers don't need to wear any special suits to earn credit.

Scorpion Stomp

There are two scorpion occupied areas.

One is by the Salt Shooter training arena, the other is by Scorpios

You'll know you're near the area by this sign… (picture below)

Caution-Scorpions.jpg Caution - Scorpions picture by jjdill24

When you first enter the stomping grounds, you'll see your combo counter

on the top right of the screen.

As you stomp scorpions, your counter goes up.

If you get stung, your screen will turn greenish and your multiplier will go down

to its previous level.

For every ten (10) robotic scorpions that you stomp without being stung,

a glowing orb lights up and your combo increases.

At first your max combo is 4x, and you will stay at your max even if you keep

stomping without being stung.

In order to increase it, you'll need to unlock higher levels by geting higher

scores during a single session.

You'll get an objective message when you unlock them and a new orb will appear.

Once you have a multiplier unlocked, it remains so for all future sessions.

(Unlockable multipliers below)

               First Multiplier - 6x <800 points>

          Second Multiplier - 8x <6,000 points>

               Third Miltiplier - 10x <90,000 points>

Notes: The points to unlock these multipliers is your score,

not the amount of scorpions you've stomped.

As long as you stat in Sodium Hub. you will not lose

your current score, but if you leave the space your

score and stomped counter will go back to zero.

There are 3 types of scorpions.

         Yellow Scorpions1 Point

                                          {Just walk on them from behind or the side}

             Red Scorpions5 Points

                                         {Requires Scorpion Stomper boots <Commerce Point / Mall>}

            Blue Scorpions = 3 Points

                                        {Requires Vetoxade <Scorpios>}

                    Vetoxade Recipe

                        Glass: Cross

                        Drink: Green

Extra: Sodium Stir (not the umbrella)

                   Extra 2: Strawberry

A meter will appear on the top left corner of your screen

when you're done drinking. (Picture Below)

VetoxadeResult.jpg Vetoxade Result picture by jjdill24

(Meter will be full when you first see it)

Note: After drinking, you'll have about 50 seconds to run out from Scorpios

to 1 of the scorpion grounds and stomp as many blue scorpions

as you can before the effects of the drink wears off.

After that you'll have to go back to Scorpios for another drink.

Salt Shooter

SodiumOne's main event mini-game where you drive around in a hover-tank

and blast your enemies to bits.

When you start the game you'll see the following menu.

Launch - Start playing the game.

Select Level - Choose the level you want to play (must unlock the level first)

Change Equipment -  Change and update equipment that you already have

or obtain in the game on your tank.

                                                 (Full list of Equipment below)

                           Thrusters

So… if you buy that jacket you get a suit?

that is correct. the first jacket you buy comes with a helmet, gloves, pants and shoes. then for every 10 levels you beat, you get updated jackets to go with the rest of your suit.

Really, thats strange, you would think that they would give the jacket rewards in both regions of Sodium.

I have both EU & NA accounts, only difference I've noticed before was Vickie has more items in NA than she does in EU.

Still that is strange that you don't get the updated jackets.

You get the same jacket, but apparently you don't get the arm stripes when completing levels.
Not had time to actually progress past level 5 myself, so couldn't confirm.

I got the objective bonus from Vickie when I reached level 10, but no jacket upgrade. Haven't cleared level 10 though, so it could be that the bonus is for reaching and jacket is for clearing. Also, still just the jacket and not the complete outfit Frown

You 1st have to perchase the jacket from the mall or commerce point

< if you don't already have it>, then beat salt shooter's 10x levels

( 10, 20, 30, 40, & 50 ) to get the upgraded jacked rewards.

We're working on an in-depth guide for the Sodium world at the moment, hopefully should be up reasonably soon once we've hammered out all the details for Salt Shooter.

Vexotade looks like this:

Do you need any help with writing guides for Sodium? I've beaten it and have a good strategy for the final boss.

Our guide is coming along… we need a Salt Shooter section at the moment to be completed.
It's pretty funky and has some interactive thingys on it to generate some stuff.

A good all-round guide on SaltShooter is all we're needing

Looks great, and I lurvs teh interactivity and progress bar creator.

Level by level tips and reward stats for Salt Shooter would be a great expansion.

Maybe just a tiny footnote that the EU Chili jacket is still gimped. Or rather, all EU Sodium objective bonus items.

Woot! The non-gimped Chili outfit! But they gave us horrible LAG instead… so bad even VICKIE couldn't stand it (she was on a break when I got there and came back to greet me a minute later).

New objectives from VICKIE: S1 Salt (complete lvl 3), S1 Bronze (lvl 5), S1 Silver (lvl 30) and S1 Gold (lvl 50).
